AZ state match
Just wanted to say a big thanks to Steve, Craig, Joy, and all the other great folks who put on a VERY enjoyable Arizona State Cowboy Rifle Silhouette match this past weekend!
I'd heard from others that shot it in years past, but attending it validated what everyone said... GREAT facilities (probably the nicest that we've ever seen), nice folks, and the awards were second to none. Weather was "a bit chilly" during a couple matches, but only enough to make you appreciate the warm sun.
While the drive time and distance was the furthest we've traveled for a match to date, it really was a nice trip. Other than the NM and AZ DOTs not having anything better to do than shut I-10 down to 35mph in a couple places for no obvious reason, it was a fairly uneventful and pleasant drive.... Even with the "non-construction" 35mph zones, the 75 and 80mph speed limits made the trip go quicker than expected.
