Mick, I spoke with Greg Connor last week. He said they have asked Whittington Center for the month of July to hold all the silhouette matches--Hunter Pistol, Highpower, Smallbore, Cowboy, BPCR would be held in that order putting the Cowboy matches around July 22.

Now, don't take this to the bank yet. Greg said it is what the silhouette department would like to have. It all depends on whether or not it fits with the Whittington Center schedule.

We'll have to wait and see.

Here is what I got today from a committee member.

This is a rough draft and could change by a couple days here or there.. I am calling Greg this morning to get a final. Will send it to you.

BUT....... right now everything hinges on the WC DIRECTORS

They will not commit yet

He is waiting to hear from them.

Dave got a set of dates from NRA Silhouette, the same as above. The way it was worded would suggest Whittington is on board.

July 14 – 16 Smallbore Rifle/Smallbore Hunting Rifle
July 18 – 20 High Power Rifle/High Power Hunting Rifle
July 22 – 25 Cowboy
July 29 – 30 Black Powder Cartridge Rifle Scope

Some of you may want to book mark the following url. It is a calendar of matches related to singleshot BPCR, BPTR and .22 BPCR matches in the upper Midwest. I will probably add some CLA matches too, but I don't know a lot about them in this region yet. It also includes some other matches that are important (to me at least), and the nationals in several disciplines. The idea is to have a central clearinghouse for match scheduling. That said, I can't put everything on the calendar or it will be unreadable.

More stuff will be coming, including results pages, etc. This is the joint effort of myself and Cliff Gregg.

If you are a match director and you are scheduling matches, you might want to use this to help avoid regional conflicts and you may wish to have me post your match on the calendar for added exposure. Please contact me at brentd@iastate.edu if you want something added to the calendar.

If you click on this link it will take you to a month-long calendar containing today. You can page forward (arrow keys, top left) to find any month you wish. If you see a match that might be interesting, you can click on it and get a little more information about the place, including possibly a website for the range or the match and the name and email of the match director.
