Silhouette Committee Members
I'm sure it's somewhere on this forum, but I have failed to locate it. Who are the silhouette committee members and how can they be contacted in opposition or support of moving the national matches?
Thank you,
Jeanne

I don't have one in front of me, but it's usually in the Nationals match program.lijeboy wrote:I'm sure it's somewhere on this forum, but I have failed to locate it. Who are the silhouette committee members and how can they be contacted in opposition or support of moving the national matches?

Like Tim, I believe it is usually in the front of the National Championship Program. However, not having one here, I looked at the 2016 on-line version of the program and could not find the committee members' names.

Re: Silhouette Committee Members
The committe members were not listed in the 2016 Nationals program. Part of "Barry's" save a tree program. You all won't be getting a hard copy of the Nationals results this year either.

These 3 are on the committee.
Joe Scott
Hugh Wilson
Kirk Bryan
Don't know if Joe or Hugh are going to the meeting, but Kirk Bryan (shiloh rifles) is.

The question remains: Anyone have their contact info?
Also, I believe there are others on the committee. Lee O'Neil, for one.

Re: Silhouette Committee Members
From what I hear about the committee meetings the members are over ruled in any decisions they make for the better of the shooting members by the committee chairman, who is a non silhouette shooter but is an NRA director who is put on as chairman by the NRA. Those of you at the final day of lever gun nationals saw that chairman, Dave Bennett. He came up to act like he cared about silhouette and announced that he and Barry were going to get all nationals at WC. He is just a mouth. But he as chairman can over ride the likes and wishes of all the silhouette shooters.

Jeanne:
Why not just write the committee at:
National Rifle Association
Silhouette Department
11250 Waples Mill Road
Fairfax, VA 22030-9400
Attn: Silhouette Committee
At one of the competitor meetings I attended, it was stated that all the committee members are required to read all of the mail directed to the committee at the annual meeting.
BTW, the members in 2015 were Aubrey Adcock, Kirk Bryan, Rob Drummond, Laura Goetsch, Wayne Harlow, Lee O'Neil, Joe Scott, Hal Simpkins, and Hugh Wilson.
Hal Simpkins left the committee this year and was replaced by... Greg Engel?. I don't know of any other changes.

Re: Silhouette Committee Members
If the committee chairperson cancan simply impose their will on the committee then why does an obviously puppet committee even exist?

Dave, it is just like the federal elections. If your vote made a difference, they wouldn't let you vote.
