Re: Silhouette Committee Members
I have no quarrel with the NRA. I just wish we had a little more access to the committee and that they would report publicly at least once a year. Keeping the competitors in the dark isn't conducive to encouraging participation. I understand that dealing with competitors is often times harder than herding cats but somebody has to step up and toss a bone to the savages. I have been a match director for 20 years and I understand the problem and the annoying whining especially when you have very little support and your own scores suffer from the divided attention. I know that matches and championships improve in direct proportion to the number of volunteers...and volunteers get to know the administration and they are listened to.......so that should tell you something

To answer BrentD's question, "You know this how?
By talking with committee members former and present. Dr. Bennett was assigned by NRA not voted into his position by members of the committee. If you want to see how Dennis Willing does business just look at what he did to the smallbore position and prone shooters.
He allowed them, the smallbore positon and prone shooters, to vote on location of their nationals and did not get the response he wanted so he did things his way against the will of the competitors.
We just found out today that the folks from Ridgway were disinvited to the committee meeting. Not looking good for our sport.

I regret that my simple question has devolved into a NRA bashing. It certainly wasn't my intention.

Re: Silhouette Committee Members
All,
On another note I turned in my FIRST request for my sbclas grand slam in January of this year and lo and behold what showed up in my mail today... Pin with number inscribed, but no cert. I had only made 3 requests for status/information since July. Is it getting colder down under? Do not know what to make of this considering the current communication status we are enjoying...
Happy shooting

I know who Bennett is, but I have no idea what you are talking about. I also know of no Large Cup that has anything at all to do with BP Silhouette, which I shot last year at The Whit.
I'm not sure what the point is that you are trying to make.
