NRA National Championship

Post by delgadoh »

Its 2,157 miles 33 hours driving and flying is 2k plus 2 hours of driving this is Ridiculous.
Why can it be somewhere where there is a major airport and it's centrally located.
What is you comment?
I guess i won't be there i'll settle for local state matches.

I'll be at 3 national championships. My favorite place to be. I have no clue which one you are complaining about, it would be hard to improve on the ones I'm going to.

I believe he is referring to the National rifle matches in Ridgway, PA.

There use to be several locations the rifle Nationals were held. Times change, people change. Only the strong survive. Get a group together, rent a big luxury sedan and share the driving and expenses.

I shoot three different Nationals, all with rifles, albeit I use 5 different rifles in 4 different calibers to get it done. It is always interesting to see how people simply presume we all can read everyone's mind. Some folks I know travel 13.3k miles to get there, one-way, every year. They do not seem to be at all rich, just committed.

No joke... we had a conventional pistol guy call a local silhouette match one day... It went; "ready on the right, ready on the left, ready on the firing line". Followed closely by "that's about 2 too many readys for this game"!
