E Mail from Adam Braverman..???

Post by Merlin »

The following is an E mail I just received - supposedly from Adam Braverman. A very nice guy by the way.

Is this legit?

Hello to all!

First, I want to apologize for the unsolicited e-mail. However, this is a very important topic.

SK rimfire ammunition is seeking participants in a marketing survey. We need shooters who do and do not currently use SK ammunition for their competitive shooting.

If you would like to participate in this survey, please reply back to me by e-mail no later than Monday, June 5 with the following information:

Full Name
Ship to address (we are going to send an item to all participants!!)
Phone number
Your age
Do you currently use SK rimfire ammunition for your competitive shooting?

Again, thank you for reading this e-mail and I hope you have a great summer 2017.

Best regards,

AB

I just got that email too. No idea if it is legit, but it seems to be. Until I know for sure I'm not giving out info tho.

I already had Adam's email address in my computer and the email we all got was recognized as coming from him. Raw email headers all show as legit as well.

Thanks to all! It is legit. I was hoping for about 150 replies to participate, and by 5 pm today i had over 175. Thanks to all.

The marketing firm will down select to get a broad cross section and then the survey will be sent or an e-mail link will direct those selected to an online survey.

I hope everyone is practicing a lot and burning through that old ammo! :D :D

I may be in need of some "new" ammo soon. I had two misfired with my SK today. Can't figure out if it's the ammo or the rifle. Hopefully it's just a minor issue with the rifle.

Adam and Lapua are a big supporter of Silhouette. If you haven't sent him a survey, please go ahead and do so. If you have been to a decent size match, I'm sure you have received some sort of prize from Lapua.

Adam, would you please make a post here when the survey/link is actually sent out? I get so much spam that my spam filters are set on "maximum overdrive" so an email from a third party marketing firm will probably get nuked.

Thanks.

Burned through it already a couple years ago... any chance of a high velocity 42-45gr ammo?

I replace the firing pin spring on my 1712 about every 3 years. The springs are cheep and easy to replace.

Who is your preferred firing pin spring provider?
