Prayers needed

Post by Toms »

Prayers are needed for Rodger Sebesta. He was life flighted to Denver after a bike car accident today. I don't know anything on his condition or where he was sent. Tom Spriggs.

Oh man, that is terrible news, Tom. Roger is the Wyoming match director in Lander and goes by "rogersptl" here on SC. That life flight to Denver is 350 miles give or take. Roger is an avid bicycle rider and in top physical shape for his age. I will spread the word here locally.

Tom,

I will say a prayer for him.

Does anyone know what hospital they took him to? Or if he can have visitors yet?

That is very sad news. Roger and I have been friends since the mid 80s.

Roger is doing well. He has a broken tibia on his good leg and lots of road rash. Don't know when he will be released but good news. Tom

UPDATE: Both Bonner and I talked to Roger this morning. He is alert and doing OK right now. He does not remember being hit but was aware of being loaded into the ambulance. It will take a hell of a lot more than a semi truck hit to put this tough old bird down! :) Seriously, we have no details of the accident to pass on. He declined our offer of a loaner rifle for this Sundays match and hopes to be home by the weekend. Get well soon, Roger.

Really good to hear it is only a broken bone and some road rash.

I'm glad he's not in a life threatening condition. Roger is a gentleman who makes my winters a bit more enjoyable with the postal match he hosts annually.

Thank you to each of my silhouette family. It is most humbling to me for the greetings I have rec'd. Yes, Tom Spriggs hauled me home last evening. Doc's tied/pinned the distal fibula to the tibula- no weight for 4 weeks; but expect a 2 week assessment may shorten that. Road rash more trouble some than the ankle. Home health will aid with bandage changes--most of back and elbows took a grinding. Driver sited for failure to give biker 3 feet of space. Many thanks for your concerns. Best wishes Roger

Roger, good to hear from you---shows you are exactly what I thought---the toughest guy I know. Best of luck with the recovery--hope to pass through Lander soon and I'll stop by and check on you.

Best wishes my friend.
Jon.
