Preparations have been made, outside stuff tied down, and got my muck boots in the car. Both my wife and I are at work so I hope we can get home before the streets flood too much.

Good luck everyone!

It was light rains for most of the day so no problem getting home. Been raining more consistently since about 5pm or so. Forecast says winds should be moderate for us here in Houston but we have 6 days of non-stop rain ahead of us.

We are well prepared to survive the storm but I'd be happy if we don't loose power (or internet) for any extended duration.

Good luck to everyone in the storm's path!

I'm fishing in the front yard. Caught a water moccasin, an alligator and a couple of perch. I switched to crawdads for bait. Lookin for a bass. Unfortunately I'm running low on beer. My wife has been called into work to stay with the patients in case of an evac. is it too early to switch to tequila?

all is fine. thanks for asking. I feel for the people in Rockport. :ympray:

Looks like Rockport took the worse of it... Still got some storm surge going on.

It's moving slow, down to 2mph at Cuero. I swapped texts with "Ranchdog" this morning and he said what's left of the eye was about 600' from his place. He still had power, but was experiencing 65-75mph winds.

Lots of rain bands coming across Austin and 25-30mph wind. Only about 2" in the gauge, so far.

I am in Wimberley, right between Austin and San Antonio so far had 2" of rain and still coming down pretty steady, wind from 15 to 25 MPH no damage, everything working, and safe.
Thanks for asking.

You guys in Houston batten down the hatches...
Looks like Harvey is gonna be that drunk uncle that dropped in for a 2 hour visit and wound up staying around for a 4 day weekend!

We're just a little east of Austin. Have had at least 5" of rain and 20-30 mph winds. No flooding yet, the ground was dry enough and rain slow enough most has soaked in so far.

Lots of constant rain. Bayous are topping their banks and flooding neighborhoods. Many people are going to be hurting after this is all done.

My wife and I are high and dry so far. Can't say it's going to stay that way because we've got another two to three days of rain ahead of us.
