I remember seeing the SR-71s doing touch & gos at Naha air base Okinawa 1970-1971 . They were station at the bigger base Kadena but we had less traffic so they would use or runway for training . I was a gca radar repairman so was I 500 feet from the center line of the runway. A very impressive aircraft.
