For three unsponsored brothers without a coach, it’s amazing how well they perform in big match after big match.

What do sponsorship packages in Silhouette competition consist of?
In other words, what do sponsored silhouette competitors receive from their sponsors?
Money? Free Ammo? Free Equipment? Free entry fees? Reimbursed for travelling expenses? Free clothes with the sponsor's company logo?

Adam Braverman would be a better person to ask that question.

David, to ask a person working for a manufacturer a direct question like that would not be good etiquette. It would be crude and disrespectful. I thought RickF or somebody else might have some insight since he mentioned it. Maybe they have sponsored silhouette competitors in Canada that we do not have in the United States.

Great Question about sponsored shooters. At Capstone Precision Group (Lapua, Berger, Vihtavuori, and SK) we seek shooters who represent themselves and the sport, not only on the field of play, but off it as well. Are they good stewards of the sport? Are they easily approachable for help or suggestions? It is not that we are looking to "buy" the top talent and turn them into a billboard, but we want people who can represent the brand(s) when I'm not present.

What do they get from the Sponsor? In our case for Team Lapua, Team Berger, Team VihtaVuori shooters, it is apparel and ammunition. We do not pay cash, expenses, entry fees, etc. These shooters are in the game for the love of the sport, not for any financial windfall.

In addition, our companies provide support for numerous silhouette competitions within the USA. Capstone is only authorized to operate in the USA, so the Marsh family is, unfortunately, off limits for me.

Lapua and SK have been very, very fortunate to be able to provide support for the shooters, the matches, and this sport, and in return, the shooters have been very supportive of Lapua and SK!!

Thank you all for your continued support and I hope to see many of you at Ridgway in 3 weeks.

AB
