Be careful at the Dr's Office or Hospital

Post by Bob259 »

When I first had heard this I thought it was maybe just an Internet rumor and tale. However it appears it is true. A good friends 12 year old daughter went to the Dr’s office for a physical the other day and they asked her if there are any guns in the house. This Obama care is going a little too far, this is just one more way they are using to find out who has guns and where they are. Be sure to tell your children to say NO! and if we did it’s none of your business!!!

You are to be appaluded :ymapplause:

Scary part is since I posted this and sent a note to friends I have heard from over two dozen people that they also have been asked this question. In fact when one refused to answer the Dr or Nurse said well I'll assume from yor answer that you do.

Jerry I'd be saying that to myself as I'm afraid if you got to upset it may be setting you up for a 'mentally ill, unstable' checkmark that they would use the Mentally ill provision to take your firearms. I DO NOT TRUST THE GOVERNMENT, to may liberals wanting to take what our counrty was founded on away from us.

I would tell them, oh yes we have all sorts of guns laying around the house all the time. Nail guns, glue guns, grease guns and many other types of gun, then inquire why he would want to know and ask him what he has in his home!

Wonder if I am going to be on some list, My Dr. hunts big game, and sometimes we talk about that when I go in to see him.

Just say "Yup - you got golf clubs?" Actually, when I saw the title of this thread I was afraid it was gonna be more about Dr. Innocent.

I saw the same type question when my boys have their yearly phyicals at the doctors office. If you read between the lines of the questionaire they are looking for kid with depression and tying to prevent suicide. The questionaire asked if they had access to unlocked firearms.

Understand that Byron, but it also becomes a defacto gun registration listing of who has guns when it gets entered into the Obummercare medical history listing. No need to create a new database that would bring a lot of ugly attention to it, it's hidden in the medical resords, a quick sort and presto a gun owner registery with your address. By the way, one person asked is 65, no kids at home and went in for an operation......

Bob, that assumes medical records can be accessed without patient permission or a warrant, and I honestly don't know the answer to that. I have the same concerns, though, about access to mental health records. It's one thing if a mental health professional can place some into NICS, but another if the government can query records without permission or warrant.

Take the blinders off!! Stop going to a "Physician" that asks this government question. That "Physician" is incompetent. Find a real Physician not a lock-step government pawn filling out a political form. Screening for Depression? That's BS! Two months ago the U.S. Government e-mailed me that I am now a Military Trauma Mental Health Specialist(Psychologist) who has passed all four levels of exams for this specialty. I have taken no tests for this. What I do at work is far from Psychology. I received about 20 work e-mails out of the blue that informed me of my "success". Tried to get this corrected but nobody in "education" knows how.
