How much would it cost?
To have a 28" barrel cut down to about 21" and get it re crowned?

Well it depends, the cost I mean. If you know a machinist who can headspace 2 barrels within .0002, and can even do it on company time, it might cost you a couple of beers, but if you take it to a gunsmith, if I remember right the last time I had it done was 25.00, but that was years ago, most of the barrel makers offer this service, you can get a general idea of the price ranges from their web-sites.

A local gunsmith offered to do the job for $50 about a year ago. We make a big deal out of it, but apparently for them with the tooling and know how it's a simple chore - cut a pipe off square and dress the end.

Bob, remember to use the brass screw, bore paste and power drill to finish off the muzzle...
Personally, I prefer a tubing cutter, but the sawzall should work just as well...

Cut barrel
All B.S. aside, if you want it done properly, $75.00 to a $100.00 should do it.

Kevin.
Also, remember the Evelio prefers a good single malt scotch!!!! Although some fo the import beers can get up there too. But then Bob lives in Coors country, and someday I'll tell you the Swiss engineers joke on Coors Bob, Too crude for this format, but was told to me at Capitol Stakehouse in Golden, we did however keep from urinating off the bridge that night. .

Bob259,
What can I say working 13 hours one day in the sun at 5000+ feet does strange things to some of them foreigners!!!! It was however quite dark so no one would have noticed and it might have added some flavor to the beer. You would have thought being from Davos that he could handle the elevation, but then it might have been the OKie and displaced Virginian (actually from Wisconsin) instigating the whole situation.
