Trigger shoes

Post by Grantmac »

For those who have tried different trigger shoes what have you settled on? I can make my own and so far I've used wide curved ones but I'm curious to try a straight blade.
Also on a straight trigger where do they measure weight?

I prefer a simple straight post (round bar).

In reality the person checking trigger weight can put the device anywhere they want. The smart ones know they can pass or fail your trigger based on where they put it on the trigger blade. It's a hazard of the trigger shoe preference but I've never been denied a certification because of it.

A round bar was next on my list to try, because it's very simple to produce.

I was considering adding a set screw like the Fortner Biathlon triggers which would help register any pull gauge.
