Millet aluminum rings

Post by Buckshot1822 »

Does anyone know how much the regular millet aluminum rings weigh?

Im looking for something in the 2-5 oz range without spending a bunch of money, I am buying a smaller scope to shoot in an indoor 9 pound league so, I cant really have anything more than 5 oz. If anyone knows let me know........Thanks

Five ounces is a LOT for a set of rings. The only rings I've tried that weighed that much were the Burris Signature high rimfire rings that are big blocks of steel. I think the BKL aluminums are less than half that (can weigh them tomorrow to be sure if you want), but I don't know about the Millets. I think you're safe if you have five ounces to spare and go with aluminum rings.

Buckshot, I just got through weighing 3 sets of STEEL Millet rings on my too expensive digital scale. The lows weighed 2.976 ozs., mediums were 3.115 and the highs were 3.465 ozs. Sorry, my Burris Signature Zee rings are mounted on another rifle so I can't give you a weight on those. Hope this helps.
