Just finished the den last night (well still a little painting touch up and lighting to do) and hung up some dead stuff... Thought I would share..

Still have a few things to decide, but I now know 100% that I could NOT make my living as a milwork finisher! LOL Turned out good, but the amount of hours spent on the trim was a little long....

Got to get rid of the stupid box and add some gun-porn...like Double gun Journal and Shooting Sportsman. 'Course a pointer or a spaniel on the floor might look mighty nice too.

I have to agree with Dave, get rid of the "box" and add a loading bench or a few nice gun racks or some other kind of gun porn.
Marv, as for the decor being that of a 'single' guy....just have to have a good duster and do it as needed and the 'art' is fine. It's when they collect all the dust and expect others to clean it out.......

Sweet Mary....I truley wish my mom had the worldly vision that you have...Maybe I would have turned out to be a better addition to the planet we now embrace...Problem is, my mom was no where as sweet and nice as you...Coates is one lucky fellow....M.

Marv, you are closer than you think... Before we moved, my wife had one FIRM requirment... that I have 'space' seprate from hers and the general living quarters of the residence.... we have a living rm, we have a game room, but this is 'my' den. I get to do what ever I want in there, but I have NO RIGHTS in any other area of the house! LOL

my version of 'gun porn' is a stack of torn down actions, scopes, mounts, half empty boxes with completly empty to augment the arrangement... A home decor expert I'm not, she is just limiting my 'touch' to the one space....LOL.. give me time, I will place my 'touch' on the den...LOL

But hopefully not single any time soon...... God bless her....LOL

Holy Chit Shicken Jorge ...I still have some very fond mamories about the last times we ate fried chicken tits and oysters with the Duck Man from Winnsboro.... That guy from Canada though..well he was a little over the top...No?
