Ridgeway, official results

Post by jneihouse »

A screwup by Comfort Inn resulted in us having to book at the Royal for the last night. Didn't have a phone cord to connect to their internet, so couldnt post. Long day of travel into upstate New York (went to see the folks from American Choppers, the Discovery Network show) and then down to the big apple. Am sending this from our suite in the Excelsior in Upper Manhattan. Driving in New York City is a hoot. You all should try it some time. Turned the rental in and am now at the mercy of the NYC transit system. Anyway, here are the final results of the smallbore rifle and hunter rifle as provided by Greg Connors.

As you might have heard Augustin Sanchez Jr. swept both classes, shooting a 114 agg. The quiet spoken talented young man now has his sights set on hi power and it should be quite a contest. Jared Perry, who fired a perfect 40 on the first day finished 2nd with a 109 agg. The 40 was the first fired at Ridgeway and set a new Pennslyvania State record. 3rd went to Matthew Everingham with a 109.

Womens champion was Cathy Winstead with a 103 agg. Cathy overcame a rough start to finish strong and shot like a champion all week. She fired two 39s along the way, missing a perfect 40 in the hunter class by the narrowest of margins as a freak gust of wind took an on call shot just off the animal for a miss.

Senior Champion was Charles McAbery with a 97. Junior Champ was Matthew Everingham with a 108 Int. jr. Champion was Adam Routh with a 101 and Emily Holsopple was the Sub jr. Champ, setting a new sub jr record along the way with a 104. Super senior was Dennis Fluman with a 68.
