butcher...I apologize for using american....on the term sidewalk, I just presumed with all the money being spent that someone would buy enough rounds so that there was no reason to leave the pub.

ex pom....shearing season should be over, there should be plenty of wool for a singlet at least!

lol .... When I was in Sydney I was surprised to find most home did not have a furnace for heat.... Even in AZ the cooling units serve as a heater as well for use on the cold mornings.

We've warmed up too. Why it was 15 this morning! Eggs harden right up on the sidewalk here too. Why it was even t-shirts yesterday after noon, a piping 27 when I got home! Maybe some outdoor shooting come Saturday.

A wool singlet to cover the ex-pom ? Now that would be a rather large garment,Do we have that many sheep here ?

If there are not enough sheep to make a wool singlet for the ex pom, then get some of the fine cashmere to make up for the shortages!!!
Or worse yet buy some wool from those out islands a few thousand miles to the south and east of Aussie!!

Too bad I missed the end of this conversation. Been gone for a few days. Had I known, I'd have brought back some alpaca wool for that singlet (a coat?). Surprising weather was so hot so far south, it was cooler near the equator.

dwl,
A singlet is a tank top...made of wool (usually black) and should hang to the knees.

Wool, knee length but no sleeves? Doesn't make sense. I guess I'm just not smart enough.

My problem is cold. Friday morning I got up and it was 70F and humid. Friday night it was 80F and humid. Saturday it was 19F and dry. This morning it was 3F.

Hey...certain appendages don't need to be kept warm according to certain individuals, so I can only attest to the fact that they do help keep you warm when airboating in cold weather....Uh-oh, there I go talking about the weather again, sounds nice and toasty until today.

It was nice and warm at 13:09:23 So 72:32:34 West. Then back to the cold at 41:50:09 N 111:52:15 W. Kind of a head twister.
