Has anyone used one of these?

The guys over on Marlin owners have been putting a lot of positive press on the jes rebore guys, who turn (amongst others) 38-55 and 375win conversions from 30-30s. I have been chasing a Marlin 375, but these seem to be priced fairly high due to their collectable status (only produced from 1980-83). So a re-bored 30-30 donor rifle is an option.

However, before going the 38-55 or 375 win route I noticed they had a 35/30-30 available. Various sources indicate they are an interesting wildcat, with perhaps a greater bullet weight capabilty than 35rem due to the 30-30s longer case neck and with a chance to use light pistol projectiles for 50 and 100.

Am I dreaming or is it a feasible/worthwhile option?

What exactly would be the main advantage of this cartridge over a .35 Remington, you can buy a nice Marlin 336A .35 Remington with the 24" barrel, 1950 era, for less than $400.00 in excellent shape if you look around a little. The differences you mentioned are "perhaps" and "maybe", makes me wonder if all the expense you will encounter is worth the trouble?

will the 375 winchester load from the 30-30 tube? shouldnt have any issue with the 35/3030 though.
