I'm glad to hear we're going to have a state match nearby. I plan to shoot.
I can't endorse a specific motel, but you could start looking in Mexia (pronounce it mah'-hay-yuh if you don't want to call attention to yourself) and Fairfield. The nicer hotels will be in Corsicana and Waco along with better restaurants. There is nothing close by that I would stay at.
We'll bring you shade. You're going to need it!

There is a brand new Holiday Inn in Mexia, closest to the range than any other, about 20 minutes.

Is that 60 shots total each gun or 2x60 shots matches per gun ?

If there are only 120 shots for score, you must be planning on a lot of sighter shots or setting some seriously high long run records with 2500 bullets...

There are hotels in Waco - pronounced Wack-O (no, not really), about a hour from the range.
Haven't been there in a while, but East Texas humidity is memorable on a hot August day.
Wish I were joining you - I miss good Mexican Food and chicken fried steak.

If you can't make the TX state match there will be good Mexican food in El Paso Labor day weekend (Aug 31 & Sept 1st) at the Roger G. Parks Memorial Match
The state of Texas
will be having 2 great matches that weekend.

It's gonna be hotter than hell shooting this weekend. I'm icing down the bullets and the drinks! 102-104 both days. I'd pay money if someone brought an RV with a/c!

It is only predicted to be in the low 90s here in El Paso. Heard from MD last night that he needed more score boards because there are more than 55 registered and we are shooting both HP and SB. Have fun guys and gals, we are having a blast. As a side note Blue Balls, like a true fine Ramslmmer that he is Two Bob bought a steak dinner for me last night, so he is two up on you!!!102-104 both days
