Re: 3 categories rifle
TX200 is the most popular sporter and you can shoot it in Open, FWB 300 is the most common target and can be shot in Open.
2 guns will do it. Get a good springer you enjoy shooting and with your 601 your set.

All "target rifles" built as "target rifles" are eligible for Target....
If it was built as a 10M target gun, it fits. You can also shoot it in Open if you wish.
All "sporter" rifles have to be spring powered. There is a weight limit also, believe it's 10#'s. (I believe) You can also shoot your Sporter rifles in Open.
Open is a 14# weight limit (I believe).

Re: 3 categories rifle
thanks for the info
i want to begin in the air rifle shooting, and want to have the best equipment as possible, and don´t blame the rifles or the pellets for the low results

You FWB will be great for Target, a nice TX200 is the rifle of choice for sporter and then open is up to you. Get good glass also obviously.

I recently bought a Crosman MAR 177, a PCP upper that mates to my AR receiver.....great piece of gear, and very, very accurate. I also have an old RWS Model 75 Match Springer...... I know the RWS would fit in the Match category, but where could I shoot the Crosman MAR/AR? Open? It's match-precision capable, and, just to clear up any misconception, it's a single shot not semi-auto, it's scoped, and it weighs 10.5 pounds.
