Leupold Scope Decision
Hi everyone,
I'm getting into Centrefire Silhouette, and I am split on which of these two scopes to get.
Both Leupold VX-3's, 6.5-20x50 and 8.5-25x50. I was thinking of fine duplex reticle in either because I also plan to try the fly shoot.
Does anyone have any experience or opinions on either of these two scopes?
Thanks,
Yoom.

Re: Leupold Scope Decision
I'm not a fan of fine duplex for silhouette shooting. It can be fine if you are very steady and there are ideal conditions, but anything outside of that can make it harder to deal with than a 1/4 to 1/2 minute dot reticle. As for the scope choice, I'd go for the 8.5-25x50 as you'll almost never want to go below 8.5X for silhouette anyway. If you're steady enough to use a fine duplex reticle, you're steady enough for over 20X magnification.

Do the 8.5x25. , 25x is not too much. For silhouette at least a 3/8 dot
