2016 CA State High Power Silhouette Rifle Championships
2016 California High Power Silhouette Rifle Championships
High power silhouette shooters, the 2016 CA State High Power Silhouette Rifle Championships have been scheduled. Jared Perry has again agreed to be our Match Director. He will be putting the 2016 State matches at the Avenal Gun Club on January 30 and 31st of 2016.
Weather in Avenal that time of the year is usually great, with cool temperatures and light winds. So don’t miss this great opportunity to shoot.
The High Power State Match Program is attached.

That is great news. I really had a great time earlier this year and will put this on my calendar in ink for 2017!

The last weekend of Waterfowl season, seriously! Decisions, decisions. I will probably be out at the salt ponds giving the ducks and geese a last hurrah.

It's official. At least two Seattle monkeys have booked flights to come on down to Avenal. Very excited.

Re: 2016 CA State High Power Silhouette Rifle Championships
The conditions for standard rifle, Saturday, were strong winds, but dry. I thought it was challenging conditions due to the wind. And then I shot Sunday, Oh boy. The conditions for the hunter rifle match, Sunday, were very difficult at best. Heavy rain and strong gusts of wind, so the second hunter match was called due to adverse weather.
The match included a great dinner Saturday night. A lot of fun to shoot with my fellows.
Congratulations to all the winners. Thank you Jared Perry for organizing and running the match.
Thanks - Brd_Hntr

Such a great match. Jared really does a fine job putting this on.
Anyone thinking about going next year should really make it part of their travel plans.
