I managed this one at practice today. Turned almost a full 180 degrees.

Re: Turned steel chicken
I've turned them just passed 90, but I've never gotten them that far around. Damn, there should be a pin, just for that.

Allen: That was a very skilled shot to do that on purpose. Which air rifle were you shooting?

That happened to me on a turkey shooting lever action. Frustrating!

Re: Turned steel chicken
When I was trying to complete my first GS pin in SBCR I needed chickens as my last hurdle. Spun the tenth chicken twice! Never did it before or since.
Its a dog eat dog world and I'm wearing milk bone underwear.

Re: Turned steel chicken
Done that. 168gn SMK at 2700fps, not quite dead center leaning toward the egg dropper. Turned 180 degrees. I could'a tossed that rifle to the chicken line but held my composure and downed the next 2 for a total of 2 on that run. It was my very very first match which I decided to do at the California state champs match a few years back. What made me really happy was nobody laughed or jabbed me, they encouraged me. I came back the next month and did better than my first time.

Re: Turned steel chicken
Is there anyone that has NOT turned a turkey and/or a chicken? Seems pretty ordinary that it happens at least a couple of times in a big match.

4. Targets
The "feet" and the top of the stand are dimensionally compliant? Maybe the top of the stand/pad is not visible in the picture?
4.1 (part of) The “feet” and the top of the stands must be the same size with a maximum variation of 10%. Where solid rails are used, pads for each animal should be used and the pad will be considered the stand.
