Dual Purpose Air Rifle
I’m looking for suggestions regarding a PCP rifle, preferably used gun , to shoot air rifle silhouette with a scope and also practice lever gun silhouette (open sights). I previously owned an FWB 601, but experienced shoulder discomfort that had not previously existed, hence my thinking that a PCP rifle would be best. My thinking is that a 10 meter rifle would allow me to shoot with both open sights and allow me to mount a scope. Which makes and models would you suggest? I’m looking to spend $900-$1200. What websites and retailers should I look at?. I’m open to your comments and suggestions. Thanks, Tom

Air Arms are very close to what you would want Tom.

If you want a 10m rifle I would get an Anschutz 2002/8001/8002 or Walther LG300 or LG400. Ken Green has an Anschutz 10m rifle for sale here that would be great.

Steyr and FWB 10m rifles are great too but not as easy to come by.

I would stay with Anschutz. They cock from the side making it easy to mount a scope. Speaking from experience I would stay away from PCP air guns that use a vertical cocking lever.
