Henry H001TLB 22 trigger job & sights

Post by shootmore »

Hi,
Im looking to improve on my Henry lever action silhouette rifle, H001TLB .22LR.
Can anyone suggest someone that does great trigger jobs on the Henry lever action? Local to Arizona would be ideal.

Also looking for day-glo front sight. .029" diameter x 1.125" would be perfect. New or used.

And a rear Williams adjustable aperture or entire rear sight that has been smithed to take out the play etc.

I have a Henry and the triggeris smooth as it gets. Shoot it if its not and it will smooth itself out.

I had the gunsmith at the Rio Salado range “Accuracy Speaks” do a trigger job on my Henry and was very satisfied. Tom

Shootmore,
You might want to rethink that front sight at .029. That's way to large a diameter for this game. Check out the inserts made by AlFoust.

Would a .019 be about the correct diameter for the fiber insert?

Yes, I think .019 is what is being used now. I'd check with Al to see what his are.

My inserts are .029th and .019th. I sell way more .029ths, and that’s what I use.

I’ll be at Ben Avery in Feb. for the AZ state match and will have inserts with me for sale.

Wow! .029 is considered too much? I thought going from the Henry default 3/32" diameter bead to a Marble's 1/16" was a great improvement.

My eye sight doesn’t allow me to use.019. The .038 is too big but the.029 is perfect for my eyes. My eye sight determined which size I use.

Shootmore: Take your Henry and run a couple or 3 bricks of ammo through it. The action and trigger will be getting smoother. And you didn't have to pay a gunsmith. Take the money that the gunsmith would have charged you, buy more ammo and go shoot some more.

(.029 or .019) Al Foust knows these sights and has been selling them for some time now. He would be the one that knows what everyone is using. Back when I started using them it was the .019.
Al can fix you up with either size.
