Does anyone have some good loads for a 444 Marlin for CLA?

Thanks Dale. Dennis was just checking to see if anyone had a good proven jacked bullet load. Thank you for offering. Mike

You got to be a He-Man to shoot a match with the 444 Marlin.

Re: 444 Marlin
No problem Mike, let me know if you need some numbers ran.
Recoil should not be any different than a 44mag, if you load for it that way.
I always wanted one, ever since I saw an article in guns and ammo in the 70's I think, as a kid.
Can't justify it, but always wanted one.

Re: 444 Marlin
I have a 444. Haven't tried in in CLA, though. A 200 grain XTP over a pinch and a half of Unique is freakishly accurate and kicks about the same as my .30-30.

16.5 of Unique and a 240 XTP is very accurate and comfortable to shoot all day.

Re: 444 Marlin
I shot a 444 Marlin once with a factory load and that once was enough.

Re: 444 Marlin
uh huh. Every time I break out the fo-fohty-fo, I fire a handful of factory loads just because and finish off with a pile of 44 mag equivalents.
