At our smallbore matches in Gonzales, Louisiana, we used the rebar stands for a long time before getting our resetable targets. The rebar stands are cheap to make and they last. The rebar will not get destroyed by a smallbore round like the wood does. When the pad does break off, just weld it back in place. A quick, simple and easy fix. There is a downside to using them. You WILL have a chicken or turkey get turned sideways and stay on the pad :(( You have to count the turned animal as a miss.
