[quote="Innocent"]Bob259,
I'm not sure where the Nationals light ended up...in Fenton's tent?

The famous TN shirts the first year were according to Gator the correct colors, Orange and Blue, year two Gray and Blue, this year Garnet and "white"....appropriately changed to Gold. Thanks for getting the almost correct colors Gator, now remember the real color should be Black and Gold. Go Knights.
Weather prediction is low 80's, light NNE winds and cloudy...should be a good day for shooting. Off for some dessert for breakfast.

Wow, Sounds like it's a good thing I couldn't make it. You'd have to roll me on to the range with all those desserts you're having, or I'd have to walk home to get rid of them.

Gator outdid himself again for the infamous TN no frills state championships. The weather he ordered was great for shooting, overcast, upper 70's almost no wind. The lunch was great and target setters did a great job of keeping us on time. Trophies looked great and the shirts made us all look like eggplants sitting around.

Laura Peters Goetsch won both standard and hunter gun with a 56X60 for both guns. Great to have a Tennessee resident win the states here. Congratualtions.

Back for one more night of desserts before heading back to Florida. Great match, thanks Ed, Nelson, Gene, Verlee and the rest of the hosts.
Next year I will not have the boy get into a shootoff with me.

Combined standard and hunter I still whipped his butt by two points. He tied me in hunter and beat me in the shootoff. He did well and if I have to leave a trail, he ain't half bad.

Mary, you are everywhere. I would hate to pay your gas bill. I nominate you for the Silhouette Shooters Hall of Fame. Where is it, by the way?

Mary,

Glad to hear you had a great time. You have only yourself to blame for that shoot-off, cut the kids ammo budget and the scores will follow....ROTFLMAO.......but then again it is fun.

Mary , Speaking of egg plant, I had the egg plant at the City Cafe Friday night. It was really good and more than three people could eat ! It was great meeting some of the folks that post on this site. I had a great time, and although I wasn't satisfied with my shooting, I did learn a lot. I think that I didn't drink enough Friday night and I got entirely too much sleep ! Thanks to Ed and the scouts for providing for a good match and thanks to Larry and Royal for trying to keep a rookie on target !

tbone, 1530 miles later I'm back home, in time to pull the radiometry equipment in before Fay walks up the coast. Had to take a side trip to Clemson for some of the best blue cheese and confirm that my siblings still have no respect of our late father.

Dawg, cutting the kids budget is the easy part, ammo or otherwise, controlling the refridge raiding is the tuff part. Yes it is fun, especially to see him come to the line determined to beat me and locking him in the vehicle for a road trip offers the opportunity to have undivided audience as the IPod batteries do wear out.

Choken, great to meet you and sorry you didn't get enough to drink. Between Carol and I we had at least 1/2 bottle of $4.88 wine and three or four more vodkas left. We were being good, trying to keep my coloring with the "Gold" highlighter in the lines.

I'm gearing up for the Mid South classic at least. Even if I will be shooting one of the 'bling' guns. Bob259, if I make the NY Penn don't worry...I won't push to show you how to shoot it. Just heard reliable rumors that El Puma has stated to a former nationals champ that "I'm the man to beat, now." So in honor of a mutal friend that started silhouette in FL, I will have to show El Puma what Luis Uribarri would have done. Simply borrow the mans rifle and outshoot him.

Bob259, I think I'd like a try at beating you with your own gun. Do I hold it by the stock or barrel when I swing it?

Hey Gator, notice that he is a Yankee...he doesn't even know to say "thats nice".
Bob, you should try attending charm school in the south.

Once again, that is what happens when one's "Low Grits Light: is flashing. A common Yankee malady.
