But (yes, I always do that) it is an opportunity for many of us, that don't get to travel much, to "meet" other shooters we have only heard about. You, Evelio, Mary, Kitty, Marv, Ducky, Tony Telo(!?) that are all legends we might never meet. Take the "rivalry" between Mary and me - is she going to spank me thoroughly the next time we meet? Duh! Unless she's really off and I'm really on, I'm buying her dinner! So how is that a loss for me? Worst case, I buy dinner for a veteran and get to learn something!
didnt we just get off topic again? uhm anyways, i have been getting a little frustrated with alot of fluff around, i have added to it a few times but befor i use to read every thread and post, but nowadays im just skimming over the topic names...
+1 Evelio

I think the general BS should be limited to "behind the berm" and not show up every place on the board.

Thank you Evelio! I don't think anyone including me wants to be a wet blanket on the fun but....please BS in the clubhouse. Let the Smallbore forum be a source for newbies to ask questions and veterans provide on topic replies. Had it not been for the internet and a healthy forum on the now defunct shooters.com, I would never have been sucked into the sport. Our BS in Smallbore Rifle does little to engage, attract and involve newbies. That is a loss!
If you can trust the stats we have 588 registered users. We have 21,500 posts. The top ten posters make up 45% of the posts. Basically 2% of the membership has contributed 50% of the posts. My fear, the site has become a forum for 20 members to chat with one another and is not a resource to folks who want to learn about the sport. I'd like to hear from some of the new and "lurking" members and tell us veterans of the sport how we could improve the quality of the forum.
Newbies, please tell us what you think.

I think you all need to move to sunny az so we can meet and greet on the firing line 2-3 times a month, every month.
Screw "off season" fever, shoot here where the sun shines and no matter how calm the wind at home, its always breezy at the ranges!

As a newbie, I only have a short experience of these forums but I gotta say the "housekeeping" section seems a bit more "newbie" friendly then the Smallbore section.
But I have been on worse forums that this one so I thought it was easy enough to get the answers I wanted. If a post seemed to drag on a bit I jsut stopped reading and went onto the next one

Sobrbiker...might want to think twice about having all these people move to AZ...then you run out of range room like we have here in FL and have limited number of places to shoot. As for the weather...yes there are a few that use the forum for cabin fever escapes myself included when land locked by flooding, but with all due respect, most of the remarks are truley harmless humor from many different levels of education and experiences.

Planning on it... and the sooner the better. My niece only lives a few miles from BA.

Two full pages of "I agree with Evelio" posts......Anyone but me see the irony here considering that the original post was a "too much bs and not enough real content" post....

ALSO.....proud to be in the "top ten" posters! (number nine infact) And yes...hoping to make master poster someday!!!

McAlice,
If I ever get my head out of this QA side of S*** here at work I will post some more BS but in the meantime TBone still leads.

McAlice, I did notice that that was the case with Mr. Evelio, however since Evelio might end up with one or more of my rifles someday, I didn't want to be the one to point that out. It would be like heading into surgery and smarting off to the Dr. Or as I have heard it said more life like "Warning: The toes you step on today, maybe attached to the a## you are kissing on later"!
