Maybe gas mileage isn't everything after all. Thank goodness they were in a large car! It would take a lot of force to crease the roof like that, let alone tear the front end off like that. They're fortunate to have survived that, and here's praying they heal well and quickly.

We went up yesterday and visited with Jim and Virginia...They are still in Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayeteville. Jim has a large cast on his right arm and the same on his left leg. Jim should be in the hospital a few more days before being released, then he will stay with his parents in Alma AR for likely a couple of months until he can become more mobile. Virginia is in a lot of pain from the broken collar bone and broken ribs and they have had a problem with her veins collapsing and not having a good line for the IV. Yesterday they went in and placed a shunt into one of the major veins and now have a good line and were giving her blood transfusions. Virginia will most likely have to stay in the hospital longer than Jim does. They asked us to let everyone know that they appreciate the good thoughts and prayers....
To add insult to injury Jim's smallbore rifle, which he had just late last year had restocked into a Pharr RT/S was in the car when they crashed. It snapped in two at the wrist...

Its a miracle that they were not killed.....saw the car pics and had to sit down because I have seen fatal car crashes that did not mangle a car that much our prayers are with them..

I would be honored to take care of that project for such a great friend and fellow shooter. Do we have the color combo/style that he has/wants?

I humbly recommend green with orange. It's never out of style.

Bad Hammy! Bad!
I'm in. What's the ante? Let Jim pick pick the scheme - not often we get a do over - and will he need anything special in the stock because of his wrist? Wonder if Robertson's would be adequately entertained by the wreck photos to replace it?

I can get the pantone combinations from the original one he had, I think Mark ordered it for him, I'll call him tomorrow. Mary if you will post your address, and maybe start another thread with a title that indicates what we are doing (that'll catch folks that may have looked at this thread and not checked back in) we can start mailing you the checks. That'll get the ball rolling.
Jim's been a great friend to our shooting family this will be a good way to give something back.

The colors on his original stock, was base color 286C Blue with Light Iridecent Blue granite. I will be glad to inlet and pillar bed the stock for him, at no charge.
The problem is, as most of you are aware, Robertson Composites is shutting down by the middle of next year, and is unknown when they will be available again.
I took a chance at the most popular colors, and have 10 on order with 5 already spoken for. Have no idea when I will get them.
Good luck Jim
Evelio.
