Good looking rifle there, Deadeye..............but noticed the bolt is on the wrong side. Have the smith fix that problem for ya.
Chickenchoker, your right. The addition of the 7 BR in a single shot version would be perfect.

Well folks, I got an email last night that we are now in "Big Green's" sights. I want to thank everybody for taking the time to participate in this thread. Hopefully Rem will realize how much we like their rifles and that we need a Model 700 MS(metallic silhouette).

Woohoo! They should engrave the triggerguard with the SteelChickens logo on the first 20 they produce and let us buy them

The first twenty serial numbers should go something like this:
SC (steelchickens) 001 thru 020, then on to the custom shop to get our names engraved on them, gold fill, naturally.
Think of the future collector value! Of course getting them at distributor cost would be nice, too.

Number one and two should be reserved for the founding fathers of Steelchickens.
Chickenchoker.....was this thread / conversation actually passed on and read by the Remington people?

Bob, the email I received said, and I quote,"Jim, this is great stuff. Thanks for posing that question. I have forwarded the site over to two guys who are known for listening to out of the box stuff. I will keep you posted on what develops". I can assume that "two guys who are known for listening to out of the box stuff" will take the time to read our website and decide if there is enough market to justify tooling up for the Model 700 MS. If I need to I'll ride with my rep friend to Madison and show them my 1712 or they can come to the hunt club and shoot critters with my silhouette rifles. All we can do is plant our desires for a 700 MS and see if it will grow.
