More expensive to feed, but worth it.

Now Bob,
I am paid to observe things, so I can't be the see no evil, that means I must be the deaf one right?

Maybe we can educate Kitty sometime about sailing ships, ceiling wax and pigs with wings.

Can't we study high heeled leather boots, skimpy leather undergarments and those that wear them and wield whips????.......Could make it a part of the Ducky and Kitty cultural tours.....

Kitty already knows there are sharks in the ocean...

I'm not sure it matters anymore, but I looked back and nobody answered the original question about the use of an AR (assuming an appropriate caliber of course) as a silhouette rifle. But just to be complete... :)

Rule 3.1 d states "The comb shall not extend above the centerline of the bore". I think this pretty clearly rules out the AR.

I think a very large recoil pad, not thick but wide will reduce the felt recoil. It puts it over a much larger area. You may want to put a wuss pad under your vest. You have to spread the recoil over your entire sholder, not just a small patch.

Carl wins, and I should have realized that in the first place!

Jerry makes a good point, too. The factory stock is pretty narrow and the steel butt plate does a great job of transmitting everything to the shooter. It looks great though...

This is about whatever it takes, within the rules, to shoot well and finish the match.

In reviewing another thread, the question of trigger assembly was raised. Do I need to plan for a new trigger assembly (Jewell?) or stay with the factory rig for now?
