Leupold Side Focus
I sent an old scope to Leupold for repair that they've determined they can't fix. They are generously offering to build me a custom shop scope to replace it. One of the options I'm considering would have a 30mm tube with side focus, I've never used, or even looked at a side focus scope. Would it be suitable for smallbore Silhouette use? It seems like that little knob won't have much room for indicators for the different ranges.

Re: Leupold Side Focus
I think the side focus scopes are long range scopes and won't go down to be used indoors. I have one on a HP rifle and the only time I have to turn the dial is to shoot out past 700M.

Re: Leupold Side Focus
I have one that the Leupold custom shop adjusted so it focuses down to 10m. It’s great!

Will it still focus parallax free past 100 yds?

Re: Leupold Side Focus
Leupold said they could set it up to focus at 25 to 300 yards.
After researching and thinking about it I just ordered a new 6.5-20X EFR. It was looking like too many new tricks for this old dog.
