Julie and I just got home from the annual NRA Fundraiser banquet. As usual we had smoked chicken and plastic forks. Julie is sitting on my left and a sophisticated, thin lady wearing fancy clothes is sitting to my right. The rest of us are wearing free shirts that we got at matches. The lady to my right is trying to eat the chicken breast with the plastic fork. One of my clinical instructors taught me almost 40 years that chicken is a finger food and should be treated as such. So I dug right in with my fingers. So, I feel a projectile chicken piece hit me in the lap from the right launched by the ladies' fork. I picked up the chunk of chicken and asked her if she wanted it back. She said "no". It was hilarious. If you ever have a chance to go to a Friends of the NRA banquet, you should go. You will enjoy it. Do not wear your good clothes because some city lady might throw chicken at you.
