My New To Me 38-55

Post by Ojaileveraction »

Recently bought a Remlin 336, 38-55 rebore.
Brass became available from Starline the week I got it.
Bullets have been the wait,
Received 100, .376', 210g RN by Montana Precision Swaging today.

Did the measurements an calculation for Trail Boss Loads.
Using The Lyman Cast Handbook for IMR4198 data.
Want to keep them under 1300-1400 fps.
I've more (500, 260g) on backorder.

Hope to get it out soon.
Goin the other way, there is a Winchester 67A waiting to be picked up at the LGS.
Definitely a project rifle for eventual grandchild training.

I too love my 38-55's. Shoot 260's across the course, been thinking about maybe something lighter for short line. Let us know about those 210's you have!
