How Heavy Is Too Heavy?

Since there doesn't appear to be an ideal scope in production right now I'm looking at lots of different options.
Scoping a 1712, how heavy is too heavy? The Zeiss that's on there now is 19.75 ounces.
The Leupold 6.5-20 EFR weighs in at 17.8 ounces.
In reality, I'm not overly concerned about making weight since I'm not shooting in official matches, I just want a great scope that has fantastic glass, tracks as it should, but still keep the weight down.
I'd made up my mind to find a used Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30, which weighs 21 ounces, but all I keep finding is the tactical version, which I don't mind but it comes in at 24.1 ounces. This scope is more along the lines of the scopes I use on my other comp rifles, but not exactly what I picture sitting on top of a Meistergrade...
I realize the Bushnell or any other 30mm tubed scope will require rings that may weigh an ounce or two more than the same ring in 1", but is the extra 4.5 ounces ( adding .15 for additional weight in the rings ) going to be that noticeable with how the rifle feels in the hand and how it balances?
I feel like I'm putting way too much thought into something that's not that big of a deal...but then again, I've learned it's better to ask the questions and do as much research as you can before making the purchase.
Would you go with the heavier Tactical model Bushnell?
