Winchester 1885 with MVA scope?
Has anyone mounted an MVA scope on a current production Winchester 1885 low wall hunter rimfire?
I'm trying to determine if the rear dovetail block can be installed without removing the buckhorn sight.
I don't have a rifle to look at so I'm going by internet photos, but it looks to me like the block would have to be mounted right where the barrel is tapering into the receiver.

Re: Winchester 1885 with MVA scope?
The new production Winchester 1885 is not a competition rifle. It may or may not shoot well enough to be competitive. Putting an MVA scope on it won't change that. That's one reason Winchester calls all their 1885s a "Hunter" model.
