Question - Raffle prize 2024 CALIFORNIA LEVER ACTION STATE MATCH

Looking for input, for our State Lever Silhouette match:

2024 CRPA-LASC California LEVER ACTION STATE MATCH
May 25, 26 and 27th 2024 - Memorial Day Weekend
Southern California

Thinking instead of a Rifle raffle grand prize, we spread it out as:
1st - $500, 2nd - $250 and 3rd - $100

Too much?

We will give a raffle ticket for each entry and to encourage early entries, an additional raffle ticket for each entry by April 1st.

What are your thoughts?

To me... It depends if you want to pay for a few great shooters to compete or if you want one hundred "regular" people to have a chance at a really nice prize.

Raffles are always a lot of fun, we shoot because we love it and a lot of us don't have a chance to win, so it's a nice surprise to be able to take something home.

To me... It depends if you want to pay for a few great shooters to compete or if you want one hundred "regular" people to have a chance at a really nice prize.

This gives a chance for the regular guy, I think that is better.

We have great facilities, with food service during the match and target setters, bathrooms and a shower, air conditioned club house. We offer about 10-12 RV spots with 110v electric hook-ups. We can have up to 10 banks of 5 animals. We have hosted numerous NRA pistol silhouette Nationals and IHMSA international matches over the years... But we can’t get very many people to come to our State and Regional Lever matches... maybe 25-30 shooters at the most, I just don’t know what to do.

So we try this.
