Velocitors

I shot 5 groups with Velocitors out of my CZ Varmint. I was surprised by the accuracy. It was grouping similarly to Eley Practice at 50 yds.

I'm new to silhouette shooting. Is this stuff for real? And will the higher velocity improve scores over target ammo?

Velocitors aren't legal for silhouette shooting, as they are considered hyper velocity ammo and could damage the targets. To answer your second question, yes it is for real and shoots well in my CZ Varmint and my Marlin 57. It's not the most accurate ammo in either, though, and would not improve scores due to the velocity in smallbore hunter or standard rifle matches due to the targets being so small that even a glancing hit from target velocity ammo is usually more than enough to knock them down.

Only test at 100 meters. Lots of ammo holds up good at close range but seems to fall off real bad at turks and rams. If it groups at 100 it will group at the short ranges.
