Eric,
You are offering this friendly reminder so that you will not hear the excuses for poor performance on the grounds of sleeping in the doghouse?

Well having just come back from an afternoon of plinking...and hearing the guys talking about picking up candy and flowers while getting their ammo at Wally world, I only have to say bring on the ammo, and forget the other junk.

Prior investment often pays better than late penalties. I arrived home after 10 days with arms full of luggage and a dozen flowers held in my teeth. Now I'd rather have sat down with a good gun book but gifts and an evening listening to what my what ever the wife's family is doing is prior investment for future good will while I go to another match. Just remember to say, "Un-huh" at the right time.

I could have picked the wild orchids but I didn't think they'd last in the luggage. I've often wondered, why flowers? Is it the function they represent?

DWL I know your wiser in the ways of romance than I, but even I have learned to not ask why and just go with it, it always seems eaiser and doesnt make my brain hurt as much

I'd have preferred the ammo too but what I got was a CD the wife wanted to listen to. Why is it that intergender relations aren't reciprical?

Is this a philosophical question that you really expect an answer for?

When one of my original coaches recieved an ocean casting rig for mothers day, she returned the fathers day gift with....a vacuum cleaner.
Hmmm some wisdom there.

That's kinda funny... thankfully my wife and I have gotten to the point that she just asks me "What did I get you for father's day?" a couple days before it comes along. One thing I noticed, though, is that I seem to buy her more expensive stuff for her birthday and mother's day with this system than she buys for me for my birthday and father's day.
