I have some SmallBore chickens for sale. I am offering these for $3.25 a piece plus shipping. I will ship using the cheapest method possible.
Usually around $6 to $12 depending on amount, anywhere in the lower 48. I've found that I can ship up to ten chickens for $6. That would get 5 chickens to your door for under $25 and 10 chickens to your door for under $40. These are the same chickens used at the Southern Nationals and Ridgway rifle club. If interested please email me at
[email protected]. Thank you for looking. Mark Varner

are these new? do you have any pix? are they cast or steel? Do they have the round hole or are the legs attached to the base? Sorry I haven't been to either place to see.

Varn, what is the thickness, are they cast or cut, what is the size of the feet and does the price include welding on the feet? Thanks.

His animals are cast. The chix are reinforced on the leg foot juncton with extra metal. These are approved by the NRA.
There are many clubs here in PA using his animals other than Ridgway and Southern Nationals. These are a far superior target compared to others. I have a few sets of my own.

Mark's chickens are probably the best you can buy. I never broke one of Mark's chickens, and never saw one break at a club. The design is NRA approved and they are about a zillion times better than the older style. Mark is also a good guy to do business.

Thanks Heavybarrel and Ter. As these fellows have mentioned the chickens are reinforced at the leg body junction and are much thicker than the others that are available. I have NEVER seen one break at the leg body junction. David Mclemore and the Winnsboro gun club bought 100 of them from me in 2002 and as far as I know they haven't broken one to date. I have pictures available but I am not sure how to attach them to this post. Thank you for your time.

I have been asked about minimum quantities and lead time on orders. I have around 100 of these in stock with no minimum purchase required. Thank You. Mark

You'll love them! Varn has supplied several sets to our club and members (including me!) and they're great! If & when they break (and face it, they all break, especially chickens!) he's been great about replacing them if we could find all the pieces! We did have to eat the one some dummy dusted with a .223, though...

Varn, Received my targets this morning. They look great. Thanks again.
My wife said the mail lady loved carrying them to the door.

Jason,
Glad you like them. Just give them a coat of the cheapest white spray paint and your good to go. I've tried lots od different brands and the Wal Mart flat white for under $1 works as well as any. Thanks again. Mark
