Eureka!!!
I have discovered the holy grail of silhouette rings. Check out ringwerx.com. These are made for benchresters and have an offset (about a quarter inch) so they can keep their cheeks off the stock. Being the genius that I am, I tried them backwards which gives me a super cheek weld. Voila! They also give you about an inch of space between the receiver and the bottom of the scope. Just perfect. Super light, well finished, 60 bucks shipped. John Morrison, 540 353 0368, tell him Hambone sent ya.

Re: Eureka!!!
Are you sure those are legal? Looks like 3.1b and 3.1.1b both have "... nor may the scope be offset from the top center line of the receiver" in them. Those cover highpower and highpower hunter, and the smallbore rules are just a copy of the highpower rules but with cartridge and weight changes.

Re: Eureka!!!
Sorry, man.
I only knew they were against the rules because I wanted to do the same thing when I started silhouette a few years ago. Dave Imas had his scope canted in the rings and I mistakenly thought he actually had offset rings, which occurred to me to be a genius idea. Once I started asking around to see where I could get offset rings, it was quickly pointed out that I couldn't use them even if I found them.

No problem, I can swap out for the regulars. I will revert my attention back to becoming a super senior.

Re: Eureka!!!
They look like a real nice set of rings, rather tall, I think that you would need a large comb to keep your head on the stock somewhere.
