Hey guys Im a new guy when it comes to silhouette. Ive just recently really started getting the hang of my rifle and really picking up my scores. Is there any sort of competions for guys that score between 11-13 out of 20. Just looking to meet some fellow silhoutte shooters and figured where beter than a comp.

Thanks Pat.

Welcome to the sport!! Shoot lots and have fun...Any NRA approved or registered match will offer classes from B to Master...You'll find that most most clubs that shoot silhouette will have a group that ranges from beginners to seasoned veterans.....Unless I miss my guess you will find that you will be welcome at any club. You will also find encouragement and maybe a few helpful tips that will improve your game....Don't worry about your scores, shoot against yourself and have a good time.

CZ....Hammy needs someone to come to Jacksonville with for the Sunshine Classic, March 18-20th. I expect to see you there as I will have a fes newbies that are not even to the double digits yet...capable of being there if they will focus on it.

Welcome to the sport...and BTW in case Malinois hasn't told you yet, springer air rifles have a different recoil and so they require different scopes than most...despite the caliber not all scopes will work on a springer.

CZ, if you are knocking down over 1/2 of your targets you arn't doing too bad. Most people start out with thoes scores for 40 shots.

Huey, casting aspersions on the First Lady of Silhouette is never a good idea. But considering the price of gas, I may consider her idea to take you to Jax for the State Championships where she may grant you an audience. And on page 17 in the rule book it clearly states "the new guy pays" Section.3-a.

You're on grasshopper. I spoke with Hugh McCombs today and told him I might be bringing some fresh meat to the match. Let's hope they have a Tshirt your size.

Ham, looking forward to it. I'll make sure I have discrete beverage containers for after match festivities. I'm bringing my 20' camper to stay at the range. See you soon.

Jason, If Hammy wants to bunk with you overnight DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT BUNK WITH HAMMY, just ask Byron, he hasn't been the same since the Nationals last year.
