A Anschutz 1712 action. Would champions choice be really my only option when the time comes? Dont really want to purchase a stock with the gun just a new action.

I'd check with Neal STepp down at ISS also. He's who I got my 1712 barreled action from, but it's been a couple years now.

Hey Jason your guy was $50 more, but I think he had them in stock where champions choice didnt. Any who I will have to do a little waiting before I make this purchase. Just looking for good sights to scan in the meantime. You never know what might pop up.

I would just buy it from Neal. I bought 3 rifles from him, and most of my ammo. He is a valuable resource and deserves some business. Nothing wrong with supporting a good guy if you can afford it.

No Im definently for supporting a good fellow. Hell whats $50 when you talking about $1000+ purchase. Ive got to do a little bit more saving first though.

OK I am gonna say it. CZforLife is looking for a what????

I guess being State Champ was reason enough to start justifying an upgrade

Congrats on your win and you will love an Annie for life I promise you. Hell I didn't even win state champ and I still justified it myself

Good one Dee. I know what this kids allowance is so this might take awhile. But ain't it fun to have some new blood amongst us old farts? We missed ya at Jax, Huey was peddling meet and greets for 5 bucks a pop after his victory...

My allowance??? Ive got enough for the action right now, but why buy the action and not have a stock to go with it. Eveilo would be sitting with my action and no funds to build a stock and the rest with. And Dee, I figured if I splurg now I wonlt have to later. Ya cant grow out of an Annie 1712.
And hammy, I was charging meet and greets just like mary was selling her state trophy for $25. Hog wash!!!

CZ...Dee's advice on get the action now is not bad....as the exchange rate and dollar value will cause spikes in the cost of the action. So if you find one that is reasonable and available, take it....stocks will come eventually. Or you can just use a fence post, but I suggest you take the nails out first.

Ive got something in the works. Gun stock and all. And Hammy keep this deal on the qt. I dont need any competion. Anyway, I have a deal working for a used Evelio custom made rifle, at a reasonable cost. I may have it by May 1, to debut at our local clubs yearly silhouette shoot.
