My hat goes off to you airrifle silhouette shooters! Just purchased a tx200 a few weeks ago and the gun is lovely and shoots great, but I'm not plinking those airrifle chickens like the smallbore ones, YET! Right now I only have a 12x mildot barska on it, but I have a bushnell 8-32x that just isn't on yet. Any tips or tricks are welcomed!

springer need to let the rcoil go, not too much grip on the forend. check out some field target sights for loads of tips on shooting springers. tx200 is a very nice springer indeed.

also concentrate on followthrough. longer time in the barrel is more suceptilble to moving off target if you drop after the shot

BH, the TX is a fine rifle. I shot my first AAA score tonight at our local match with my TX and I'm only an A in SB. Remember with the TX you are part of the dampening system with the double recoil. Sighting in off the bench will get you close but you have to learn to sight in offhand. Your hold and grip must be the same each time or the POI will change. And as already said follow through is a must. I shoot at 12x becuase that is what I can comfotably hold plus I can see where I missed. All you need is some trigger time. Another great thing about air rifles is being able to practice at home.

I think practicing at home may be the best thing about the air rifle!

Right now just Crossman Premiers 7.9gr as the previous owner said they shot well and chronied at 883fps. Have some diablo, rws, and air arms pellets that I'm gonna test when the wind settles down.

The Air Arms 10.3 field heavy shoot about 830fps in my TX and do well in the wind. When I first got the TX the 10.3's shot really well but as I got about 500 rounds through the barrel they dropped off a bit. I now shoot the JSB 8.4 Match Diablo Exact's with run about 920fps. At that speed the wind isn't too much of a factor.

Happy hunting :D

Patrick, it is a slippery slop with those air rifles. Never, ever shoot a target or open gun. Trust me, there is no cure. None. run away while you still can....... =))

That is all it will take to ruin him. I love my TX200 and shooting it, until I start shooting jjp's target gun. Then I love the thought of not shooting my TX200.
