steelchickens.com - the new home of your weekends for the forseeable future, more fun than Disney Land, and certainly just as expensive.

Man here I am, AT DISNEY LAND, and chose to log onto this site and type to others at 1:15am in the morning.................Sad, but the statement is true....

Man, have a good time. Time spent with your family like this is something you will always cherish. Not that you will ever want to do it again......

Chicken,
Does mice count as a varmit and if so, what's your longest shot on one?

Kitty,
I haven't seen any comments about family, but I sure can remember doing a lot more fun things with family than hanging out at a concrete creation of engineering monsters. I do recall doing dishes in various lakes, oceans etc, with my sisiter up the hill taking pictures of me and the suds. Much more fun.

Yes, I would agree ... I have shot (1) and 1 only. Was with an air rifle at aprox 5 steps in near dark conditions....you know my exceptional skill... I could have made the shot 40/40 times in Raton, but there is no competition in that class, so I now lower myself to shooting the rifle with you turds. I, like some others, simply "hold back" on the line to apear that it's challanging...

Haha, oh man, do I crack myself up..Haha...

OK, ONE more day at Mickey land.....All the $30 breakfast, $50 lunches and $75 dinners are starting to wear on me....LOL

Poor Chicken

I really feel for you, man. I grew up near that place. It isn't just the $30 breakfasts and the $50 lunches, it's that and the hotel, the parking, the entrance fee and the cost of all the souvenir junk. After spending all that money you get to stand in lines designed by people who are specialists at hiding from you how long the lines are!

What I don't understand, George, is why aren't they paying You for your time? Oh, yeah, 'cause the wife and kids are making you do it! Oh, well, I guess Disneyland isn't so dumb after all. They realize that they can scam you for hundreds and use your family to strong arm you for it! Multiply that by millions of people and what do you get?

Well, enjoy yourself and just remember, after Disney your hobby is going to look cheap by comparison. Tell the wife you're going to Pe Ell for almost free this year. Somebody else will be driving in from the airport so you can catch a ride. Chad may make some more chili. Dave should have some scotch and Steve might let you sleep in his garage. We'll take up a collection and buy you a burger at that awful diner in the village. See for the cost of a flight and a couple of bucks for some .22 ammo you can have a lot of fun without putting it all on Mastercard at 35% annual.

By the way, watch out for the asian tourists at the Main Street Parade.

With my firstborn due within a week, is that all the fun I'm going to have at Disney? Not that I want to go, but I'm told I will be going sooner or later. Maybe that will help my hobby expenses plea after we go...

We drove down to Disney last fall. Had a great time! Ariel the mermaid and Tinkerbell are Hot! No staff member (cast member) would dare openly call me a pervert.

Wolff ammo is supposed to be situated around there (Anaheim). I went looking in my limited free time but went to the wrong address. LA doesn't seem to be the greatest area for cruising gun stores.

All right, we all will agree that Chicken probably never knows where he is but I will clarify something about Disney. The "Disneyland" is on the left coast or California, the "Disney World" is in the wetlands of central Florida defined by some as the right coast. As a native central Floridian I can tell you after what Disney has done to the environment here I'm not sure it is the 'right' coast anymore. I will vouch that both are absurdly expensive and not worth the money.

Chicken, if you are truly on the East Coast let me introduce you to some fine Fish Tacos, or even better seafood at a lesser rate and much fresher than you will get at Disney.
