6.5x47 lapua varget loads
Can someone give me some good starting loads using Varget and 120/123/142 grain bullets?
I now this has been talked about previously, but, I could not easily find the information and hope it can be provided in this post.

35 - 36 gr Varget for the 107 & 123's (I ended up at 36 gr)
for the 142's I use 35 grains of RL15

I am using 37 grs of varget for my copper colored 142s. It gives me 2655fps. My friend is using 38 grs to get 2700+ from his black 139s. Results may vary in your rifle.

I just had to throw in the disclaimer because it just felt so good to do it.

Thanks for all the replies.
Now I have a good starting point with varget.
Jerry,
It's the varying results (scores) I get that confuse me.
Innocent (yeah right)
I will respond this weekend with some ideas to toss your way.

The black 139s at 2700+ are the cure for all the world's problems. I prefer to get them at Powder Valley.Jerry G wrote:My friend is using 38 grs to get 2700+ from his black 139s. Results may vary in your rifle.
