I know this is an old thread....I just stumble upon it looking for something else.

Lever Action Silhouette smallbore rams are supposed to be 3/16" thick. I am guessing that most are actually 1/4" thick.
I shoot the game at Atglen Sportsmen Club and would ring at least two rams every match. This was shooting CCI Standard Velocity, RWS Rife Match or SK Long Range Match. I tried the 60gr Aguila SSS, accuracy beyond the 50 meter pigs was non existent. I also think it was discontinued. Than I found the Cascade Ammo 50gr ammo. It is accurate enough in my 39A Golden and has not dinged a ram this year.

The only possible problem I see is that it is a 22 Long case (not 22LR) to make room for the longer bullet. This could produce fouling that might cause chambering trouble with standard ammo . It would clean out, sure, but Hearing the fire command on #1 chicken and the round won't chamber or the fired brass won't extract would be a problem.

My 2 cents
