Our resident 10 year old is now officially the first case of flu diagnosed in her school....very sick right now...doctor also is concerned with an arythmia that she has in heart (several in our family have it, it must be genetically passed down) and she'll be undergoing montoring by childrens hospital in Little Rock AR via a remote monitoring device when she gets over her bout with the flu....so have a good thought for mini Kitty if you will.

I am very sorry to hear both of these, but very glad that the arrhythmia was caught sooner rather than later. Children's Hospital is one of the the best and they'll take very, very good care of her.
Everyone knew flu would go epidemic this year when school started but nobody knew what to do about it. There's already been at least one confirmed case of Swine Flu (H1N1 if you prefer) on the UAFS campus, so I'm afraid that by the time a vaccine arrives everyone that's going to get it will have it or have had it.

Thanks all for the good thoughts..shared them with her and it cheered her up to know that her shooting family was thinking of her...the hardcore flu symptoms have set in as of 2:00 or so this am...If we can get her past the throwing up and bodily aches the next 24 hours should see a good improvemnt....get this flu out of the way so we can focus on the arithmia..get her leveled out...keeping her focused on shooting is helping.

WTF? Holey highjacked post batman. What, use an actual hunting rifle for hunting class silhouette, are you crazy?
Yes, it's true, people used real hunting rifles in this game a long time ago, or..........last month, wait that was me!
I was just taking a break from loading 7-08 ammunition for the state championship next week when I seen this topic. Just finished loading 168 matchkings and am ready to switch to loading 140 ballistic tips for deer hunting, should be able to get some really good zero's after the match at all the distances.
Yes, contrary to popular belief it is possible to use your hunting rifle to compete {and shoot good scores} in hunting rifle silhouette.
Just use light loads for C,P,T, and full power loads for rams.
You should seriously consider a recoil pad, the gun will stay on your shoulder better and will make the recoil tolerable.

[quote="22284"]It's been a great round for me to shoot in the past .Lots of fun for me at least as it's my deer rifle as well.
Load is 45 gr. of H4895 under a 135 SMK in Federal brass lit by Federal 210s.Always wanted to run some 4064 through it but never got around to it for some reason. No doubt that the 135 is a great Ram bullet. Never splashed a Ram. Not once.
If I ever get around to putiing a SA gun together undoubtably it will be the 270 Redding.
