Actually we should encourage the original poster to show up at Winnsboro and look David up and call him out on how he and Jerry have decided to run the drawing....I'd buy a ticket to watch that one...LOL

I know an 11 year old that will do it for free - and grin while she does it...
At least at Winnsboro I'll have lots of company.

First of all I want to say that I have been out of state and just got back on the internet. Not only that but my internet was down this morning!
I want to say to the original poster regarding the awarding of the rifles that Jerry and I posted a poll last year regarding this idea. We went with the poll results. We also polled each and every shooter at our match last year regarding the $20 additional fee this year. I promise you that this will be the best $20 fee increase in history as this match will be special this year.
Many years ago Robert Massey told me that we were doing the right thing to encourage the B and A Class shooters. Contrary to popular belief, Jerry and I listen to all suggestions and also gripes so that we can have an idea as to how to improve our match each year. We are not geniuses and do not profess to know everything. We only know how to listen to people and have actually stolen 90% of what we are doing from other successful matches. No one has ever complained about us awarding a rifle to the Junior shooters for just showing up and one to the Adult shooters,. The odds are definitely skewed in favor of the Junior shooters. Not only that, we also cut the fees in half for the Junior shooters. We have never heard anyone complain about that.
I want to thank all of the posters that have been here for their kind words, especially Chicken George that put it in words so successfully.
I know that Marv may get PO'ed about my response here, but if you really want to hear how I feel, start this post on BTB! As a last word on this, if you do not like the way we run the Southern Nationals; no one is forcing anyone to attend and pay any fees!
Probably the best reason to be given for the the drawing being as it is cause Ducky wants it so.....It IS good to be King. Long live King Ducky
Kitty
Kitty, I do not think Ducky should be described as King. He is more like a Caesar. He creates a situation(Rifle Match) out in the middle of no where that brings participants in from all over the world to mingle together. Then David(Caesar) and his Royal Advisor Jerry sit back and watch the shananigans and they don't even have to travel far to see it.
It takes a couple of trips to Winnsboro to really start catching on to all the funny stuff that is going on.
As Caesar (uh David and Jerry) said: "Let the games begin!"
See you at the Southern Nationals.

Trent...Naw, it's just one big dysfunctional family.
Sgt O'Ducky, looks like the BS has started seriously, so we should have a good one, CBC was a blast, despite rifle actually failing on me(after 60+ thousand rounds). I will have it tuned back up or a different one running by Winny, trying to talk some more of the wrong coast boys into coming over, may have succeeded.

Mary,
I guess that I may have to start posting more to get my post count up. According to the number of posts by the original poster, he is hiding behind another nom de plume!
Oh well, Jerry and I will just go with the majority as usual.
